Children don’t matter because they are “pure” and “innocent” and “untouched by sin.”
Children matter because they are human beings. We should not be associating children with purity because it is dehumanizing rhetoric. It isn’t about saying that children are not pure, but that we should be treating them as equals because we recognize they are people, not because they are “purer.” Children should never have to be “pure” to be treated as people.
Just a reminder that people are just as capable of being good as they are of being bad
That also applies to children. Point blank. Kids can be absolutely awful, and treating kids as inherently good is part of the purity rhetoric that has been spoon-fed to us by Christianity.

“The North Sentinelese has been isolated for 50.000 years” is the funniest misconception I’ve heard; because their isolation with the outside world was relatively recent. The Onge people who live near the North Sentinel Island actually have accounts of the Sentinelese people (even describing that they spoke like them). And their total isolation wasn’t a thing until after the European occupation of the Andaman Islands.
someone tell the tumblerinas that you can raise an issue without deliberately guilt-tripping everyone about it
okay, I take it back. I don’t think everyone is doing this deliberately. some of it is so deeply entrenched in tumblr culture that you probably don’t always notice you’re doing it
“nobody’s talking about this” -> you can just delete this phrase
“if you can’t reblog this, unfollow me” -> you can also delete this one
“x group can, and should, reblog this” -> remove the “should”. or you know. delete the entire sentence
your post will still spread all the important information without the guilt-tripping parts, I promise
if an otherwise valid post tries to guilt trip me it’s a pass on the rb, sry.
I like how teens are too young to figure out their sexuality unless its heterosexual
Idk how people find this old post like once a week but I will say as a closeted 15 year old nothing can describe how much confidence it gave me that everyone agreed with me. That it’s all bullshit. I was so angry and frustrated at the world not taking me seriously, and the thousands and thousands of people reblogging showed me that I wasn’t alone. I wasn’t crazy and heteronormativity is all bullshit. Being queer is as natural as breathing air.
Come on Tumblr, don’t be fucking cowards
Alternatively - come on nameless intern #102, you have a chance to be the fucking funniest person on staff.
cowards

Allow me to play the world’s tiniest violin that producing content that MAKES THEM MONEY would slightly inconvenience Amazon in 2025. Bull. Shit.
The strike has nothing to do with this decision. Blaming the talent is a bad look, Amazon.
This is a blatant PR move to try to turn the public against the strike. It’s suits trying to punish us and say it’s the fault of the abused and underpaid workers. It’s manipulative bullshit and we should not let the fuckhead dumbass suits think for one fucking second that it worked.

cryptotheism answered:
Familiarize yourself with conspiracy narratives. The best way to do this is to familiarize yourself with antisemitic tropes. Being able to spot historical antisemitic theming will save you a lot of trouble.
Also understand that conspiracy thought has nothing to do with intelligence or rationality. It functions entirely by filling emotional needs and confirming already-held beliefs.
